Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer-songwriter born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He rose to stardom in 2012 with his debut single "Like to Party" and has since become a global music icon, blending Afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, and pop, drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Bob Marley. Burna Boy has released critically acclaimed albums, including L.I.F.E (2013), Outside (2018), African Giant (2019), Twice as Tall (2020), and Love, Damini (2022), winning numerous awards, such as the BET Award for Best International Act (2019, 2021, and 2023) and the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album (2021). He has also broken records, becoming the first Afrobeat artist to sell out the SSE Arena and the first African artist to perform at the UEFA Champions League Final Kick, collaborating with notable artists like Fall Out Boy, Sam Smith, and Justin Bieber.
