Cobhams Emeka Asuquo, a Nigerian music icon, was born on January 6, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State. Despite losing his sight at age five due to congenital glaucoma, Cobhams' unwavering determination propelled him toward musical greatness. As a child, Cobhams' natural talent flourished, and he pursued music with unrelenting passion. He attended the University of Lagos, studying Law, but his true calling remained music. Cobhams' illustrious career spans over two decades, marked by remarkable achievements. As a producer, he has collaborated with Nigeria's top artists, including Asa, Banky W, and Omawumi. His songwriting skills have yielded hits like "Make Me" (Miracle worker) and "One" (feat. Nosa). His debut album, "For You," released in 2015, showcased his vocal talent. Beyond music, Cobhams advocates for disability awareness and inclusion. His foundation supports visually impaired individuals, inspiring hope and empowerment. Awards and recognition have followed Cobhams' success. He received the Nigerian Music Awards' Producer of the Year in 2008 and the African Magic Viewers' Choice Awards' Best Soundtrack in 2014.
