Dax, born Daniel Daxton Muzi Clay Nwosu Jr. on March 22, 1994, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, is a Nigerian-Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Raised in Ottawa, he has Nigerian roots from the Igbo tribe. Initially involved in inspirational speaking, Dax transitioned to music by writing poems, which evolved into lyrics. He gained recognition in 2017 with his viral hit "Cash Me Outside" featuring Danielle Bregoli. Known for his freestyle remixes of popular tracks, Dax has released several successful songs, including "Dear God," "Joker," and "Dear Alcohol." Dax has collaborated with notable artists such as Hopsin and Futuristic and has built a strong social media presence. His music blends emotional depth with raw lyricism, and he has made a significant impact on the rap scene. With a degree in communication from Newman University, Dax's musical journey includes the release of one studio album, "Pain Paints Paintings" (2021), and several mixtapes and EPs.
