Kameni

Kameni, born Ebude Kate Kameni on March 9, 1993, in Bafang, Cameroon, is a talented singer, rapper, and songwriter. She began her musical journey at 14, posting videos, interpretations, and freestyles on platforms like Facebook and YouTube. Her breakthrough came in 2019 with a viral mashup video that covered songs from artists like Locko, Teni, and Burna Boy. She later signed with Lionn Production and released tracks such as Boss and Nayo Nayo, which solidified her presence in the Cameroonian music scene. Kameni is known for her powerful voice and her ability to blend various genres, from rap to Afrobeat, making her one of the prominent female artists in Cameroon. She won Best Female Artist at the 2020 Balafon Awards. As of 2022, she has taken her career into her own hands, stepping out of Lionn Production to further develop her musical path.
