Kayswitch, born Kehinde Oladotun Oyebanjo on February 12, 1985, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, is a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and performer. He hails from Shagamu, Ogun State, and attended the Nigerian Navy Secondary School in Abeokuta. While initially drawn to subjects like computer science and oil and gas, his true passion lay in music. Kayswitch’s musical journey began in secondary school, where he rapped for fun with friends before eventually pursuing singing and songwriting. His older brother, D'Banj, who is a prominent Nigerian artist, heavily influenced his decision to pursue music professionally. Kayswitch's musical career gained momentum after he joined Mohits Records, a label co-founded by his brother and Don Jazzy. This affiliation allowed him to hone his craft, both as a recording artist and performer. Over the years, Kayswitch has toured globally, performing at major events such as the Koko Concert, the Calabar Festival, and the StarMega Jam, across countries including the US, UK, India, and South Africa. Known for his calm and urban style, Kayswitch’s music blends eccentricity with a distinct sound. He continues to strive for excellence in everything he does, driven by a belief in creating something unexpected and unique.
