Lucky Dube

Lucky Dube (1964-2007) was a South African reggae singer, songwriter, and musician. Born in Ermelo, South Africa, he became one of Africa's most iconic reggae artists. Dube's music addressed social issues, inequality, and apartheid, inspiring change and unity. Notable releases include "Prisoner", "Slave", "Together As One", and "Victory". With over 20 albums, Dube's soulful voice and powerful lyrics earned him international recognition, numerous awards, and a loyal following. Tragically, he was murdered in 2007, but his legacy continues to inspire generations, solidifying his place as a legendary figure in African music and social activism.
