Minz

Minz is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music producer known for his Afro-fusion sound that blends elements of Afrobeat, R&B, and trap. He first gained recognition with his debut EP HMD released in 2020, which features songs like "Odoyewu" and "Pour Me Water." His music is characterized by immersive, rhythm-heavy beats, often incorporating unconventional elements such as dog barks and voice loops. Minz draws inspiration from artists like Bryson Tiller, Wizkid, and Maleek Berry, blending their influences into a sound that’s uniquely his own. In addition to his musical talents, Minz is also a producer, having created most of his tracks. He is known for his versatility and innovative approach to music production, often experimenting with new sounds and methods. Although he has faced challenges early on, including a difficult start in recording, his dedication has led him to success in the Nigerian music scene. Minz is also gaining recognition for his hard work, with nominations for Rookie of the Year at the 2019 Headies Awards.
