Mr Real
Mr Real, born Okafor Uchenna Victor, is a Nigerian musician and street-hop artist from Lagos. He is best known for his hit song "Legbegbe," which became a viral sensation. The track, which features Idowest and Obadice, was heavily influenced by South African house music, a genre that has gained significant traction in Nigerian street-hop. Before "Legbegbe," Mr Real had been involved in music for years, with his first recording dating back to 2006 with Terry G on the song "Kakaraka." His musical journey was shaped by his early experiences, including his time in a Plantashun Boiz cover band in school. Despite his long pursuit of music, it wasn't until "Legbegbe" that he gained widespread recognition. He describes himself as a "real" artist, both in his music and personal expression, and draws from his roots in Lagos to connect with his audience. Since the success of "Legbegbe," Mr Real has been performing at numerous shows, though he manages his career with a small team instead of relying on large management firms.
