Nish

Nish, born Syed Nishat Monsur, is a British-Bangladeshi artist who blends traditional Bangla music with contemporary urban genres. Raised in London, he was immersed in both classical Bengali music and Western influences, learning instruments like the harmonium and tabla from a young age. His breakthrough came in 2016 with a collaboration on a Bangla remix of Mumzy Stranger's "Jaan Atki," which became the first Bangla song to top the iTunes World Chart in the UK. Nish's debut album Identity features a mix of Bangla, English, Punjabi, and Hindi, reflecting his heritage and the multicultural environment of the UK. His music combines UK grime and hip-hop with South Asian influences, aiming to bring Bangla culture into the mainstream urban music scene. Beyond music, Nish is passionate about bridging cultural divides, using his platform to represent Bengali identity globally.
