Gaise Baba, born Akinade Ibuoye on August 5, 1986, is a Nigerian Afro-fusion gospel artist known for his unique blend of faith-based content and African sounds. He grew up in Ile-Ife, Osun State, before moving to Lagos, where he was exposed to Yoruba culture and traditional music, which heavily influences his style. Gaise's music is a fusion of Afrobeat, gospel, and various African rhythms, and he aims to use his songs to positively impact society and culture. He began his professional music career in 2009 after graduating in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and participating in the National Youth Service Corps. His breakthrough came in 2010 when he signed with Sanctified Records, leading to the release of his debut album in 2011. The album’s hit single "Follow Follow" garnered significant attention, earning him several nominations, including for Best Indigenous Concept at the Nigerian Music Video Awards and the Africa Entertainment Awards.
